Welcome to the WTF World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships 2009 in Cairo, Egypt from November 30th to December 2nd, 2009. The event will take place in Cairo Stadium – Hall (1), Nasr City, Cairo.

Since its ambitious launch in 2006, the WTF World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships have been growing constantly with the increasing number of participants year by year.  Our hope is that this edition in Cairo will serve as the drive for further development of Poomsae competitions throughout the world and in African continent as well.

The competition is being promoted by the World Taekwondo Federation, and organized by the Egyptian Taekwondo Federation.

The qualification of the participant are:

1. Holder of nationality of the participating team
2. Recommended by the national taekwondo association
3. Holder of the Kukkiwon Poom or Dan certificate
